The mission of Loving Our Girls is to provide support, encourage and empower young girls facing adversity. We provide youth development through our mentorship program to young girls in impoverished communities.
Loving Our Girls is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that focuses on making the maximum positive affect on our community by providing resources to young girls.
There are positive outcomes in youth empowerment programs including but not limited to improved social skills, improved behavior, and increased self-esteem. We believe that there is strength in supporting young girls.
We see a world that can be positively impacted by communities filled with strong young women. A community filled with strong young women can have an adversely positive affect on that same community.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals. Your generous donation will fund our mission.

I started my organization Loving Our Girls because I was once that girl who desperately wanted and needed help. At an early age I learned responsibility not because I necessarily wanted to but because that was my only option. I was brought up with living conditions that were less than perfect. Living in an impoverished community where little to no resources were available I was determined to build better for myself.
During middle school I taught myself how to braid hair, I would braid hair in my community so that I was able to purchase the bare necessities I needed as a young lady. I braided hair after school and on weekends while still maintaining an above average G.P.A. I often think back and wonder how was this possible? I now know that God was my source. While things were less than perfect in my world I never gave up there was always something in my heart that said keep fighting, keep pushing, and tough times don't last long; tough people do. I created L.O.G because through my experiences I know that it is needed in the same community where I grew up. I know that there is a girl (even if I only reach and teach one) out there somewhere that can learn from my testimony and that desperately needs the help that I wasn't afforded.
Loving Our Girls will not only offer the essential necessities a young lady may need, L.O.G will also offer a mentorship program designed to help young ladies see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is my duty and my mission to share my testimony and encourage other young ladies like myself.
Sometimes we may not understand why our lives are harder than others. I certainly didn't understand why as a teenager I was unable to do the same things as my friends and have the same nice things that they had. I'm constantly reminded of Genesis 50:20 my trials and tribulations were designed to make me fail, but I now turn my pain into purpose. What the enemy meant for evil God has worked it out for my good.
